Exploring Eleuthera

Although we have only one main road (Queen’s Highway) on Eleuthera (110 miles long), you can still spend days wandering off the beaten path to discover deserted beaches, quaint settlements and out of the way native restaurants and shops. There will be a map in the car so you will have the information you need to see and do everything.

This large blue-shadowed cave was a temporary home to shipwrecked survivors (know as the Eleutheran Adventures) after fleeing religious persecution. Preacher’s Cave is thought to be the site of the first Christian service in the Bahamas.

Once a natural bridge on the island, it was destroyed after several hurricanes and is now a man made bridge. It's where one can view the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea all at once. A spectacular site to see!

Take a ride down south and visit this beach known for its old lighthouse located on a dramatic promontory overlooking the ocean.

Rumored to be bottomless, this natural limestone wonder is filled with tropical fish and a few turtles who greet tourists. Don’t forget to take bread to feed the fish!!
